Are there any circumstances where I won’t get a Funeral Benefit payout?
Yes – a Funeral Benefit will not be paid out if the policyholder dies within the first 12 months as a result of:
- an accident that happened before their policy commencement date
- a sickness, or
- an intentional self-inflicted act.
However, if the insured person dies within the first 12 months from any cause other than Accidental Death, a refund will be provided on all premiums paid in respect of that person. Please lodge any claim for the payment of a Funeral Benefit as soon as possible.
After the first 12 months, you are covered for all causes of the Life Insured person’s death. For more details, refer to the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
