Are there any pay-out exclusions?
It’s important to understand that there are some circumstances that mean a Funeral Benefit will not be paid out.
For Suncorp Funeral Insurance, exclusions apply for the first 12 months after your policy start date. This period is otherwise known as a ‘12 month accidental death only period’.
If you die during the first year of your policy due to an accident that occurred prior to the policy start date, a sickness, or an intentional self-inflicted act, the Funeral Benefit won’t be paid. If this happens to you, we will refund all of the premiums you’ve paid
After the first 12 months, you will receive the full Funeral Benefit amount in the event of your death.
