What’s covered?

When your claim is only for accidental breakage of the following during the period of insurance:

  • fixed glass in windows, doors, skylights, and shower screens;
  • mirrors fixed to the home; or
  • other fixed glass (including glass tint if fitted),

we cover the cost of replacing that glass without you having to pay an excess.

We will also cover the cost to repair or replace the frame of any window, door or shower screen, but only if this is necessary to enable the glass to be replaced.

The most we’ll pay are your reasonable and necessary costs.

What’s not covered?

There are certain fixed glass items that are not covered such as sinks, basins, baths, ceramic tiles, or any glass that forms part of a cook top or solar panels. However, there may be cover under the ‘Accidental breakage of glass’ additional cover for some items that aren’t covered under this option. You can learn more about this optional coverage and other exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement.
