What’s not covered
Loss, damage or liability for or caused by, connected with or arising from mechanical or electrical failure or breakdown or anything that fails to operate properly. However, we will cover damage caused by any of the following:
- fire spreading from an electrical fault to other parts of the home or contents to the extent it is covered under insured event ‘Fire (including bushfire)’
- lightning to the extent it is covered under insured event ‘Lightning’
- motor burnout to the extent it is covered under the ‘Motor burnout’ optional cover in the PDS.
