MONEY HABITS
Set Boundaries
11 October 2017
My guess is you sometimes break your budget – spending and treating others is just too good. But it can be exhausting seeing an unhealthy balance, so set yourself some immovable boundaries. If you can manage a credit card, you can manage anything!
If there’s one thing you love, it’s spoiling the ones you care about, including yourself.
My guess is you’re pretty popular, but make sure your generosity doesn’t come at a greater personal cost – credit card interest.
You’re the kind of person more likely to break your budget – whether because you love so much or you love shopping so much!
So, set yourself some immovable boundaries. If you can manage a credit card, can you decrease your limit – and lee-way to impulse spend?
If for you a credit card can get out of control, switch to a debit card that you have to load up with actual money first.
And there’s always good old-fashioned layby – the wait with which might wean you off the love of the instant gratification buzz. Because, when you think about it, if you over-spend now it curtails your ability to keep spending in the future. And you won’t love that.
