Banking Code of Practice
We are committed to upholding the standards of practice and service contained within the new Banking Code of Practice, which came into effect on 1 July 2019.
The Australian Banking Association has created the new Code to provide additional safeguards and protections not set out in law for individual and small business customers, and their guarantors.
What does it cover?
The Code has 10 clear and easy to read sections to help you understand what you can expect from us:
- How the Code works
- Your banking relationship
- Opening an account and using our banking services
- Inclusive and accessible banking
- When you apply for a loan
- Lending to small business
- Guaranteeing a loan
- Managing your account
- When things go wrong
- Resolving your complaint
Contact our Customer Relations team to voice any compliments, suggestions, complaints, problems or concerns you may have from your experiences with us.

Compliance under the Code is monitored by the Banking Code Compliance Committee (BCCC). You can report an alleged breach of the Code directly to the BCCC. For more information, visit their website.
