Market Leader Masterclass Success
10 February 2016
The demand from brokers for strengthened support to enter the small business lending market was highlighted this month, when Suncorp Bank hosted its first SME Masterclass Series.
The sell-out event saw more than 300 brokers from across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne participate in an intensive, interactive workshop which Suncorp Bank National Small Business Manager, Robynne Frost, said delivered an invaluable insight into how brokers can grow and diversify their business into small business lending.
“Small businesses represent a significant opportunity for brokers. However, in this dynamic environment it is important for brokers to have access to the tools and support they need to successfully diversify their business and speak confidently with their business lending customers,” Ms Frost said.
“The Masterclass series was designed to equip brokers with a deeper understanding of small business lending to put them in the best position to take advantage of this energised market.
“Participants heard from Stuart Donaldson, founder of Banyan Co, who reinforced the need for brokers to maintain strong connections with their customers and position themselves as trusted advisors.
“He highlighted how brokers can remove financial complexities for their customers, and outlined how to determine their customers’ business priorities through assessing productivity, profit, cash and financial strength.”
Ms Frost said the Masterclass series was the latest Suncorp Bank initiative designed to help brokers to grow and diversify their business.
“We see our broker partners as business partners, and are committed to investing in our broker proposition to ensure they can also deliver a consistently good service to their customers.”
Suncorp Bank will host its next series of SME Masterclasses in April. For more information contact your local SME BDM or alternatively email email@example.com.
