Suncorp Brighter Super for business

If you join Suncorp Brighter Super for business under an employer
plan and meet the eligibility requirements, you may be provided
with automatic cover (which is insurance cover you receive without
the need to apply through underwriting). The type and level of
insurance cover you receive will depend on the design chosen by
your employer, and depending on your circumstances you may
need to complete an Elect default insurance cover form for your
insurance cover to commence. Age and account balance limits
and other eligibility conditions apply, as detailed in the
Product Guide.

If you join Suncorp Brighter Super as a personal member, or if you want more cover than what your employer has selected, you’ll need to complete an insurance application form. Your application may be subject to review and approval by the insurer.

provided with Suncorp Lifestages cover (Life and TPD cover) and
the amount will depend on your age. If you choose not to have
insurance cover as part of your online application, you may still be
eligible to receive Suncorp Lifestages insurance cover at a later
date. Age and account balance limits and other eligibility
conditions apply, as detailed in the Product Guide.  

Joining under an employer plan

If you join under an employer plan and meet the eligibility requirements, you may be provided with automatic cover (which is insurance cover you receive without the need to apply through underwriting). If you want to choose your own amount of cover or increase your cover, you can apply for customised cover at any time by logging into your online account and answering a few simple questions. You can either choose a default level of cover that varies with your age, or a fixed amount that suits your needs from $1,000 up to a maximum of $850,000. If you meet the eligibility criteria, your amount of cover will remain fixed at the level you choose and will not change with your age.
