Members experiencing financial hardship
To support members experiencing ongoing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Suncorp Health will be waiving the 1 October 2020 premium increase until 1 April 2021 for members receiving the Australian Government’s JobSeeker and JobKeeper assistance.
This will be applied in the form of a one-off credit that covers the cost of six months’ worth of premium increases (1 October 2020 to 1 April 2021) to provide our members with assistance now, when they may need it most.
The credit will be applied to the member’s first scheduled premium payment after their application has been processed. Following this payment, the premium will change to the new rate as outlined in the member correspondence.
The one-off premium credit will be automatically applied to the members on these Government subsidies who have previously received our special COVID-19 financial hardship support package.
Members who were previously ineligible to receive Suncorp Health’s COVID-19 financial hardship support and are now receiving the Australian Government JobSeeker and JobKeeper payments are able to apply for the premium subsidy until 15 October 2020.

Members who are not receiving JobKeeper and JobSeeker payments are unable to access this offer. However members experiencing ongoing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, are encouraged to contact 13 11 55 to discuss how we can support them.
