Thousands of people are involved in motor vehicle accidents every year. If injured, they'll need medical attention and often rehabilitation. CTP Insurance covers you by providing compensation to other people injured in a motor vehicle accident caused by a negligent driver. Those 'other people' could be other drivers, passengers (in your car and other vehicles), pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists - basically anybody hurt as a result of the accident, except you, if you're the at fault driver.
Despite what a lot of people think, it's actually quite easy to switch your CTP insurer.
So if you make the switch to us now, Suncorp will appear as your nominated CTP Insurer when you receive your next rego renewal notice. And you'll have the peace of mind that comes from being with Queensland's favourite CTP insurer.
Suncorp is Queensland's largest CTP insurer.
Suncorp Insurance offers more additional Driver Protection Cover with our CTP Insurance than any other insurer at no extra cost to eligible customers.
We work with injured people and their families every day, trying to find the best options available for their ongoing rehabilitation and care. That's why we're proud to support Youngcare. This amazing charity is making a real difference to the lives of young people who need long-term care, many of whom have suffered serious head injuries as the result of car accidents.
Our Driver Protection Cover provides you with some cover for eligible at-fault drivers injured in a car accident, at no extra cost. The cover includes:
- Up to $2 million in benefits for specific serious injuries to eligible at-fault drivers, if the vehicle is also comprehensively insured with Suncorp Insurance.
- Up to $1 million in benefits for specific serious injuries to eligible at-fault drivers, where the vehicle is not comprehensively insured with Suncorp Insurance.
- Access to a lump sum payment of $5,000 which may help pay for upfront costs like medical and rehabilitation expenses.
Your CTP insurance payment is included in the cost of your motor vehicle registration. If your vehicle is registered in Queensland, you will have CTP insurance. When you buy any Queensland registered new or used vehicle, the CTP insurance transfers to you. If your vehicle is not registered, you are not covered by CTP insurance.
