The Storm Readiness Service makes storm preparation easy

Just in time for storm season, we’ve made it simple to book local tradies through Global Home Response who will help get your property prepared.

Available now in the Townsville and Cairns metro areas, the Storm Readiness Service includes gutter cleaning, tree trimming and professional recommendations for improved readiness around your yard.

While we have connected you with Global Home Response to help bring you this new Everyday Repairs service, we will not receive a commission or payment of any kind or any information about your service.

We’re doing this as part of our long-standing commitment to helping North Queenslanders protect their families and properties during our annual storm season.

What’s included in the Storm Readiness Service

For both 1- and 2-storey homes, 2 tradies from Global Home Response will be on-site for up to 90 minutes (or 3 hours labour) to provide*:

  • Gutter cleaning and accessible downpipe clearing
  • Reporting on gutter and downpipe condition
  • Removal of accessible dangerous/overhanging tree limbs
  • Recommendations for storm preparation in your yard
  • A job completion report, showing before and after photographs, emailed within 3 working days

Additional time on site will be charged at $100 inc GST per hour, per tradesperson.
A disposal fee may be charged, at a rate of $27.50 per cubic metre.

Unblocking your home’s gutters and downpipes and removing overhanging tree limbs can help protect your home from the torrential wind-driven rain of a major storm.

We’ve learned from years of experience that even relatively small amounts of water that penetrate your home can damage ceilings and walls and ruin valuable contents such as floor coverings and furniture.
