Home Inspection Plus Terms and Conditions
This page, together with content on the website at www.suncorp.com.au/homeinspectionplus ("Home Inspection Plus"), are the Terms and Conditions on which you may use Home Inspection Plus.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Home Inspection Plus. By using Home Inspection Plus you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them.

Information about us and Global Home Response
In these Terms and Conditions "we", "us" or "our" means Suncorp Corporate Services Pty Ltd ABN 69 074 966 466.
We have partnered with a third party provider, Johns Lyng Group ABN 86 620 455 248. Their subsidiary company, Global Home Response ("Global Home Response") ABN 96 350 743 600 will arrange to appoint an inspector to provide the home building and pest inspection services.
Home Inspection Plus is only available in limited regions within Australia.
We provide Home Inspection Plus to assist with booking home inspection services through Global Home Response. We do not operate or control the home inspection services. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE WE ARE IN NO WAY INVOLVED IN ANY TRANSACTION/S BETWEEN YOU AND GLOBAL HOME RESPONSE OR THE INSPECTOR APPOINTED BY GLOBAL HOME RESPONSE. WE IN NO WAY GUARANTEE THE SERVICES. PRIOR TO AGREEING TO THE SERVICES, YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR OWN ENQUIRIES AND DETERMINE THE SUITABILITY OF SERVICES ACCORDING TO YOUR NEEDS.
The information on Home Inspection Plus is provided to us by Global Home Response. This includes, but is not limited to, information about the service availability, cost, and turnaround times. We are not responsible for such information.
Additional terms and conditions
The terms and conditions of Global Home Response are as follows:
- Performance of Services - The inspector appointed by Global Home Response will carry out all Building and Pest Inspections in accordance with the Australian Standards (4349.1-2007 and 4349.3-2010).
- Payment - Upon confirmation of the Home Inspection Plus booking time, payment will be processed via credit card (VISA and MasterCard only).
- Cancellations & Rescheduling - Home Inspection Plus bookings that require cancellation or rescheduling within 24 hours of the confirmed Inspection booking time will incur a $100 fee.
- Report Timings - The Customer will be provided with the completed Building and Pest Inspection Report carried out by the inspector appointed within 24 hours of the Inspection being completed.
Additional terms and conditions imposed by Global Home Response and the inspector appointed by Global Home Response may also apply to your booking and purchase of home inspection services. Global Home Response and the inspector appointed by Global Home Response may provide their service pursuant to their own Privacy Statement. Prior to acceptance of any service, you should read any additional terms and conditions and privacy statement carefully. In the event those additional terms and conditions contradict or conflict with these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
In order to book the home inspection service, you must submit information to Home Inspection Plus. If you have chosen for a copy of your home inspection report to be emailed directly to your conveyancer, you must obtain your conveyancer's consent to provide us with their email address before you do so.
After you submit the Home Inspection Plus booking form, we will provide this information to Global Home Response. Global Home Response may refuse to book an inspector at their discretion, or may further contact you for the purpose of scheduling inspections, processing payments and service fulfilment including sub-contracting of this service.
Use of Home Inspection Plus
Home Inspection Plus is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, modify, copy, distribute, transmit, communicate, display, public or use any material contained in Home Inspection Plus without our express prior written permission or the permission of the relevant copyright owner.
You must not in any way interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper operation of Home Inspection Plus.
The contents of Home Inspection Plus, including all trademarks, text and images, is owned or licensed by us.
Global Home Response are responsible and liable for retaining an independent inspector to carry out the building and pest inspection. This includes but is not limited to service and payment fulfilment, capturing additional data to complete the service and storing and sending the report. Global Home Response will arrange for the building and pest inspection services to be provided to you by a suitably qualified inspector in your area.
We do not examine, determine or warrant the certification and/or licensing, competence, solvency or information of Global Home Response or the inspectors appointed by Global Home Response. In no event will we or any of our agents be liable for damages to any user of Home Inspection Plus for the services provided by Global Home Response or the inspectors appointed by Global Home Response, or for any other loss or damage which may occur as a result thereof. You should satisfy yourself as to the certification and/or licensing, competency, solvency and insurances of any professional service you decide to retain.
We do not provide professional advice of any kind. Any information or content on Home Inspection Plus are provided for information purposes only and are not intended as, nor constitute, legal, financial, technical or expert advice or to be in any way relied upon by you. You should undertake your own independent verification.
Home Inspection Plus is provided on as ‘as is, with all faults and as available’ basis and to the extent permitted by law without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, warranties of title or non-infringement, or warranties arising from course of dealing or custom of trade. We made no representation or warranty that any content on Home Inspection Plus is accurate, complete, appropriate, reliable or timely. We make no representation or warranty that your access to and use of Home Inspection Plus will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, free of viruses or unauthorised code or other harmful components.
We reserve the right to discontinue operating Home Inspection Plus at any time without notice.
Subject to any responsibilities implied by law and which cannot be excluded, we and our officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, information providers, partners, advertisers, licensors, suppliers and bodies corporate, are not liable to you for any losses, damages, liabilities, claims and expenses (including but not limited to legal costs and defence or settlement costs) whatsoever, whether direct, indirect or consequential, arising out of or referable to Home Inspection Plus or third party services, howsoever caused, whether in contract, tort including negligence, statute or otherwise.
You indemnify, defend and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, information providers, partners, advertisers, licensors, suppliers and bodies corporate for any loss, cost, damage or expense, howsoever caused resulting from your breach of these Terms and Conditions or your use of Home Inspection Plus.
Your access to Home Inspection Plus may be terminated by us at any time.

We reserve the right to revise and update these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. You should periodically review these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws in the State of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
The provisions of these Terms and Conditions are severable, and if any provision is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision may be removed and the remaining provisions will remain enforceable.
