About Osko and Pay ID
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Osko fast payments: bank transfers in near real-time
Osko is the name of a fast payment service offered by participating Australian banks, including Suncorp Bank.
You can make an Osko fast payment from most Suncorp Bank personal and business bank accounts to another account by using a PayID* or to an Osko-enabled account at another Osko participating bank by using a BSB and account number. Just transfer money as you usually would, and Osko will be enabled automatically, sending your funds in under a minute.
You can make Osko payments using the Suncorp App or with the help of staff at a branch. We’re currently working on adding Osko in Internet Banking, but it may not be available for all eligible accounts until the rollout is complete. Before you confirm a ‘Pay Someone’ transfer in Internet Banking, we will let you know if it will be sent via Osko.
*The ability to create a PayID is available for personal accounts only.
How do Osko fast payments work?
Just transfer money as you usually would. If Osko is available then Osko will be enabled automatically, sending your funds in under a minute, 24/7/365.
You’ll be able to tell whether the account you’re paying to is Osko-enabled if you can enter a payment description of up to 280 characters (including emojis!).
And you’ll know if your transfer has been a fast payment if the Osko logo appears on your receipt and transaction details.
Most Suncorp Bank accounts that can make electronic payments are eligible for fast payments.

Smarter payment descriptions
Osko fast payments with the Suncorp App give you the option of including up to 280 characters of remittance information with your payment, including emojis.
Longer descriptions make it easier for you – and all the people and organisations you pay – to keep track of the payments you’ve made.
Simpler payments with PayID
PayID is an alternative way to address payments that’s a lot simpler than sharing your BSB and account number.
With PayID, you can link a unique identifier, such as your mobile number or email address, to your personal account, if it is PayID eligible. Then when someone needs to pay you, you can provide your PayID instead of your BSB and account number, if their financial institution allows them to pay to a PayID.
You can set up and manage PayIDs in connection with an eligible Suncorp Bank account. Of course, if you prefer to continue using a BSB and account number, that’s fine. Using PayID is entirely up to you.
To find out if your account is eligible to connect to a PayID go to the Product Information Document or Schedule of Fees and Charges applicable to your account.
How PayID makes Suncorp App “Pay Someone” transfers easier
If you need to pay someone who has a PayID, you don’t have to chase up their BSB and account number. You can simply pay to their PayID via the Suncorp App if you have an Osko eligible account. The name of the PayID holder will displays before you make the payment, at which point you will need to confirm you’ve got the right recipient.
