Moving your banking to Suncorp Bank
Our free Account Switching tool makes it easy to move your saved payee and biller details from old bank accounts directly into Internet Banking. All you need is a Suncorp Bank everyday account.
How to use the account switching tool
Once you've opened your Suncorp Bank account, log in to Internet Banking. If you don’t currently use Internet Banking, registration is easy.
To navigate to the Account Switching tool, scroll down to the bottom of your listed bank accounts and click on ‘Import payees and billers you have stored at other banks’.
Follow the simple directions to import your saved payees and BPAY billers. You can also download a report summarising your direct debits, credits and regular transfers.
Things to know
The self-service tool provides a 95-day summary of all direct debits, direct credits and active regular transfers from accounts you select that you hold at other banks.
This tool does not re-establish or cancel any regular transfers or any instructions you previously had with other institutions.

Share your account details with your employer
Log in with your Internet Banking details to access an easy-to-use email template that pre-fills your details.
Don’t have Internet Banking?
Register now or follow the below steps and complete the Salary Credit Form (PDF) and share it with your employer.
Complete the Salary Credit Form (PDF) with your Name, Employee ID/Payroll Number (if applicable), Phone Number and Suncorp Bank details.
Print off the completed form or email it to your employer.
On the day your salary usually comes into your account, check your Suncorp Bank account to make sure the correct amount has been successfully redirected into it.
Switching bank accounts to Suncorp Bank
Moving saved payee and biller details to your new account is easy.
Login to your Internet Banking.
Find the link in your internet banking on the My Accounts page, under My Bank Accounts.
You'll need to check the box to show that you accept the terms and conditions before confirming.
Select the institution you want to include and then confirm your choice.
A secure connection is established with your selected bank/institution.
Then, you will be prompted to login with your internet banking details for that bank.
In this example, the customer is importing details from a Westpac account.
Select the accounts that you'd like to include in this service.
By selecting an account, we will then obtain a 95-day summary of all direct debits, direct credits and active regular transfers from the accounts you select.
Click Confirm to proceed.
Download the PDF report to your PC.
After it's downloaded, select Continue to proceed with importing biller and payee information into your Suncorp Bank account.
Select the billers and payees you would like to import, then select Add selected to Suncorp Bank to move these details into your Suncorp Bank address book.
You will be presented with a confirmation of the number of payees and BPAY billers that have been added to your address book.
Congratulations, you've successfully imported your payee and BPAY biller details into your address book.
Remember, you still need to transfer funds to your new Suncorp Bank account to cover payments, reestablish one-off or recurring payments and cancel existing funds transfers from your old account.

What do we mean by regular transfers?
The Account Switching self-service tool helps you identify regular transfers made from your old bank account, including:
- Direct credits, such as salary, rental income, government payments and dividend payments.
- Direct debits, such as phone bills, gym membership payments and utility bills.
- Regular payments, such as rent, loan repayments, savings, and internal and external transfers between accounts.
- BPAY® payments, such as rates and utility bills.
You’ll need to update all your direct debit providers (such as your mobile phone company and services you’re subscribed to), and direct creditors (such as your employer) yourself. Suncorp Bank staff can assist with cancelling direct debits on your behalf, however fees may apply. Please contact us if you need help.
You can easily import your regular transfers from your old bank account into your new Suncorp Bank account, using our free self-service Suncorp Bank Account Switching tool. You can also set up regular, recurring payments is easy and can be done at any time through Internet Banking or the Suncorp Bank App.
- Ensure that there’s sufficient money in your new Suncorp Bank account to cover any newly established transfers.
- It’s a good idea to leave some money in your old account to ensure any remaining debits are covered and you don’t incur a fee.
- Once you’re sure all payments are set up to and from your new account, you may wish to consider closing your old account to avoid any account keeping fees that may apply.
Suncorp Bank’s Account Switching service works like this:
- You provide your login information from your other financial institution. Please note: this information is securely encrypted and not seen or stored by Suncorp Bank, or any of our third-party providers. It will automatically be deleted as soon as you’re finished with the service.
- You’ll be able to download a 95-day summary report in PDF format.
- You’ll also be able to import saved billers and payees from your old bank account to Internet Banking.
You’ll be asked to enter your login details from your other financial institution, which is provided to our third-party provider and used to retrieve your 95-day summary report. Your login details are not stored. All information that is made available to you through this service is instantly purged at completion of the service. Payees and billers that you personally select to import to Internet banking will be saved in your Internet Banking.
We have no contract or arrangements with any other financial institutions relating to the provision of this service. Your other financial institution may not authorise or endorse your use of this service or our provision of this service to you. You should ensure that your other financial institution permits your use of the service before proceeding.
While the security of our Account Switching service is robust, any loss of money from your other financial institution that can be associated with the use of this service may not be protected under the ePayments code. You should ensure that your other financial institution permits your use of the service before proceeding.
