What are my daily limits, and how do I change them?

Daily limits are the maximum amount of money that can leave your account in a 24-hour period to protect you and your money from theft and fraud. Different daily limits apply to online banking, ATM withdrawals and EFTPOS cash out withdrawals. Combined cash daily withdrawal limit for ATMs and EFTPOS cash out withdrawal is $1,000 per day per card, which can be increased to $2,000 per day per card by contacting us or visiting your nearest Suncorp Bank branch . Online banking daily withdrawal limits apply to external payments, BPAY® transactions and funds transferred to other Suncorp Bank accounts from Internet Banking and the Suncorp Bank App. If you need a higher internet daily limit, you’ll need a Security Token Code to approve the change. Download the free Suncorp Bank Secured App to generate the code from the convenience of your mobile phone. What is my Suncorp Bank BSB?

Suncorp Bank has one BSB for all branches and accounts: 484-799 . A BSB (or Bank, State, Branch code) is a six-digit number that identifies your bank and branch in Australia. You’ll need to include this number if you’re transferring money to new payees outside of your address book.

How do I change my name and contact details on my accounts?

To change the name on your account, say because of marriage or divorce, you’ll need to follow the steps required by your state or territory’s Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages first. Once you’ve done that, you’ll then need to submit it in person at any Suncorp Bank branch . How do I close my bank account?

To close your account(s), you can either: Send a secure message through Internet Banking. Find out how to send a secure message . Contact us . Visit your nearest branch. Be sure to bring ID. Before we close your account, we’ll need to confirm that all your direct debits and credits, cheques and visa authorisations and other payments have cleared. Some accounts that are packaged with an eligible Suncorp Bank home loan and some business accounts may need to be closed in a Suncorp Bank branch. How can I deposit money into my account?

You can deposit money into your account by cash at any of our Smart ATMs around Australia . You can also transfer money into your account digitally using Suncorp Bank App , Internet and telephone banking . To do so, you’ll need: Your BSB number (which, for Suncorp Bank, is 484-799), and Your account number, which is different for every customer. You’ll find yours on your statement or through Internet or Mobile Banking. If you’re making an international transfer you may need Suncorp Bank’s SWIFT code, which is METWAU4B. Please note: Deposits in branch other than via Smart ATMs are not possible with our online-only Carbon Insights Account .

Who can apply?

This account could be right for you if you are:

a holder of a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card or Commonwealth Seniors Health Card; or
a recipient of a Centrelink/Government income support payment.

Account owners must be 11 years or older (unless otherwise stated on the Product Information Document).

To be eligible for a Suncorp Bank Visa Debit card you must be 16 years of age or older. If you are not eligible, you will receive a Suncorp Bank eftpos card instead.

Yes. You are liable for any Direct Debit you authorised, including a direct debit which causes your account to overdraw.

1. A Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Card is required.

2. To be eligible for a Suncorp Bank Visa Debit card you must be 16 years of age or older. If not eligible you will receive a Suncorp Bank eftpos card.

3. Some transactions which may cause the account to become overdrawn include fees and other transactions that occur when Suncorp Bank is processing offline. If your account becomes overdrawn and has a negative balance we will not charge overdrawn fees or interest on the Everyday Essentials or Carbon Insights account.
