Suncorp Bank named Business Bank of the Year
31 May 2016
Suncorp Bank has today been announced as Money magazine’s 2016 Business Bank of the Year.
It’s the second major award Suncorp Bank has received from Australia’s most-read personal finance magazine in two years, having been named Bank of the Year in 2015.
Suncorp Bank Head of Business Customers John Debenham said the win was testament to Suncorp’s commitment to Australia’s business banking community.
“Australia's business banking landscape is highly competitive, so to be recognised as the industry leader reaffirms Suncorp Bank's position as the genuine alternative to the major banks," Mr Debenham said.
“Small business truly is the backbone of our economy and our commitment to supporting the growth, success and sustainability of this important sector is evidenced through this accolade.
“This award recognises the great things we are doing across our Bank, especially the success of our diverse product portfolio, which is designed to provide our customers with banking solutions for each stage of their business’s life cycle.”
Money magazine Editor Effie Zahos said Suncorp had built on its already impressive efforts to climb from runner up Business Bank of the Year in 2015, to the number one position.
“We are so thrilled to announce Suncorp Bank as this year’s Business Bank of the Year,” Ms Zahos said.
“Suncorp has fulfilled its promise to be a genuine alternative for business customers, offering a full suite of fully-featured products including transaction and savings accounts, loans, credit cards, merchant facilities and specialist services at competitive prices.”
Money magazine’s Business Bank of the Year is awarded to the financial institution with the highest aggregate score across business deposit products, including transaction and savings accounts, credit cards, term loans and overdrafts. A mixture of both price and features were considered.
