Suncorp Bank Goes a Mile For Local Business
12 May 2015
Forget Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Suncorp Bank’s inaugural Business Breakfast at the Miles Showground on Tuesday 19 May is the ultimate treat for savvy local business owners.
The free community event, featuring three economic experts, will provide an overview of current financial trends and reveal local market insights.
Suncorp Bank Regional Manager for Central and South West Queensland, David Littleproud, said the Business Breakfast offered an opportunity for guests to engage in an active discussion about the future of the economy, and explore potential opportunities and challenges for local businesses.
“Rural and regional communities play an integral role in our economy. We are proud to host an engaging and educational platform to support local business owners to keep up to date with the latest industry trends,” Mr Littleproud said.
The event will feature presentations from Suncorp Bank Head of Treasury Research Darryl Conroy, Herron Todd White Property Valuer Digby Makim, and Allegiant Director Peter Winterflood.
“The speakers will share insights from their particular areas of expertise to deliver a wellrounded overview of the current economic outlook,” Mr Littleproud said.
“Darryl Conroy will draw on more than twenty years experience in finance and treasury to provide an overview of current financial and commodity markets, while Digby Makim will look at the broader national and state property market to deliver key insight into local market trends.
“As a former hands-on lender and the current director of Allegiant (an independent financial services and advisory business), Peter Winterflood will provide an insider’s perspective on Agri lending, including what banks look for in a potential or existing customer and information on bank receivership processes.
“I encourage all local business owners, particularly those in the agribusiness sector, to come along, ask questions, and take advantage of having three experienced financial analysts in town.”
