12 September 2017
Suncorp has been announced as Queensland Ballet’s Principal Partner at its Season 2018 launch today.
Suncorp CEO and Managing Director Michael Cameron said Suncorp’s support for the Queensland Ballet reflects its commitment to partnerships which bring customers and the community together.
“We are delighted to be the Principal Partner and to help Queensland Ballet to reach more communities and make the arts more accessible, across regional and metropolitan Queensland,” Mr Cameron said.
Alongside the regional events, Suncorp is also supporting the Wish Upon a Ballet Star program. The program offers dancers from all over Queensland the opportunity to win behind-the-scenes tours and meet Queensland Ballet dancers, with the main prize a role in the performance of The Nutcracker.
“This year’s Wish Upon a Ballet Star program will be a once in a lifetime opportunity, with Queensland Ballet Artistic Director, Li Cunxin, returning to the stage in that performance. One aspiring Queensland dancer has the opportunity to join one of the world’s ballet greats on stage,” Mr Cameron said.
As Principal Partner, Suncorp will provide access to unique experiences, rewards, and free events for customers and the community.
“We are continuing to show our support for our partners in sport and the arts in ways that matter to our customers,” Mr Cameron said.
Queensland Ballet Artistic Director Li Cunxin said he was excited about what the extended partnership brought to Queensland.
“Suncorp shares our desire to connect communities, deliver strong arts and cultural experiences and to make the arts accessible to all,” Mr Li said.
“It’s this shared commitment that has brought us together.”
