Team Girls

Our Ambassadors

We are proud to partner with a range of professionals and ambassadors to support us with our Team Girls program and be positive role models for young Australian girls. We collaborate with elite athletes, industry professionals and experts to provide parents with a range of resources and tools to help parents and families build the confidence of their girls.

Laura Geitz

Hailing from Allora in reginal Queensland, Laura Geitz has remained the same down-to-earth country girl as she grew to light up netball courts around the world. Her achievements are legendary, winning two world championships, a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and silver medals at the 2010 and 2018 Commonwealth Games, and three domestic championships with the Queensland Firebirds. As captain of the Australian Diamonds and the Queensland Firebirds, Laura redefined what it meant to be a netball champion and became a role model to young girls. Laura has been the driving force behind a number of initiatives to inspire girls to continue playing sport. She embodies the values and attributes of Team Girls and can testify firsthand to the benefits of sports participation and confidence.

Gretel Bueta

A role model to thousands of aspiring young netballers around the country, Gretel Bueta (Tippett) is a true Team Girl; always there for her Firebirds and Diamonds teammates, motivating them to perform their best, building them up to be the best version of themselves. Her 96% goal accuracy rate is testament to Gretel’s confidence on and off the court, along with her trademark lay-up shot. In 2019 Gretel was named International Player of the Year and was the recipient of the prestigious Liz Ellis Diamond, Netball Australia’s highest accolade. She loves spending time in nature, with friends and close-knit family and has a passion for health and nutrition, having completed her Nutrition and Dietetics Degree at Griffith University in 2019.
