Our Trustee Board of Directors
James is the Chairman and an Independent Non-Executive Director of Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited Board (appointed 13 July 2009 to Board and Chairman 5 March 2016). James was previously also the Chair of the Board Audit Committee.
James is a qualified CPA, holds a Bachelor of Economics and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
James is currently the Chair of BT Investment Management Limited, Chair of J O Hambro Capital Management Holdings Limited and a director of Investa Property Group companies including Investa Wholesale Funds Management Limited (and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee).
James has forty years of corporate experience. His most recent executive role was as the Chief Risk Officer, Wealth Management with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he also held a number of other senior executive roles in insurance, finance and strategy.
Before joining the Commonwealth Bank in 1996, James was a senior executive with Lend Lease in the Property Investment Services Group. Prior to that, James held senior executive positions at GEC Australia and Grace Bros.
Jan is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited (appointed 16 August 2013), Chair of the Trustee Investment Committee (appointed 1 October 2016) and a member of the Board Audit Committee.
Jan holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons), is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia as well as a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jan is currently the Chair of Mercer Superannuation Australia Limited and a director of IMB Limited, Australian Philanthropic Services, Athletics Australia and Swiss Re Life & Health Australia Limited and a member of the Advisory Board of Swiss Reinsurance Company Limited, Australia Branch.
Jan has over thirty years’ experience in the financial services sector in a career that spanned corporate superannuation, derivatives trading, capital markets origination and institutional relationship banking. The last sixteen years of her executive career were spent at Westpac where she held Global General Management positions within the Institutional Bank (twelve years) and also BT Financial Group (four years) where she led Westpac’s Private Bank.
Kathy is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited (appointed 27 July 2015) and Chairman of the Board Audit Committee (appointed 5 March 2016).
Kathy has a Bachelor of Economics and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
Kathy is currently Chair of PorkScan Pty Ltd and a director of Australian Pork Limited and Navy Health Limited. Kathy is also the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Department of Treasury and Finance, Victoria, Deputy Chancellor, Council Member, Chair of the Investment Committee, and a member of the Chancellor's Advisory Committee and Remuneration Committee of Deakin University and a member of the Finance Committee of Euroa Health.
Kathy has a broad business background and is an experienced non-executive director across a range of industries including financial services, agri-business and health. Her executive roles over 20 years included Global CFO and general management in agribusiness.
Henry is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Suncorp Portfolio Services (appointed 4 March 2016) and a member of the Board Audit Committee.
Henry is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Economics and has more than 27 years of senior management, operational and finance experience in the financial services industry.
Henry is currently a director (and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee) of ASPECT (Autism Spectrum Australia), director of Millinium Capital Managers Limited and director (and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee) of CBHS Corporate Health Pty Limited.
He has held senior positions at Blackrock, AMP Capital, Colonial First State Investments, BNP Paribas Asset Management and Barclays Global Investors after commencing his career with chartered accountants KPMG. Over his career he has led teams involved in post-acquisition integrations of businesses, including the consolidation of the Prudential and Legal & General businesses into Colonial First State and the Barclays Global Investors business into Blackrock.
David is an Executive Director of Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited (appointed 1 April 2016) and a member of the Trustee Investment Committee.
David was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Suncorp Banking & Wealth in September 2016, following 18 months as the Chief Financial Officer, Suncorp Bank and 12 months as the Executive General Manager, Bank Customer Development where he was responsible for customer strategy, product, digital, and marketing.
David is the Chair of the Banking & Wealth Executive Committee and Bank Asset and Liability Committee and is a member of the Bank Credit & Risk Committee and other various risk and governance committees. His previous roles have included end to end accountability leading Suncorp Life's New Zealand business and the Group's financial advice networks. David has over 25 years' experience in banking, wealth management and life insurance, and prior to Suncorp, held senior roles in Banking and Wealth Management at ANZ.
A FCPA, David holds post graduate qualifications in Applied Finance and Investment and in Financial Planning and is a Fellow of FINSIA. David is also an experienced Director on industry, subsidiary and AFSL (Australian Financial Services Licence) boards, an active contributor to industry working groups, and is a graduate of the AICD’s Company Director’s course.
Ed is an Executive Director of Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited (appointed 5 February 2017) and a member of the Trustee Investment Committee.
Ed has over 20 years’ experience in Financial Services having worked at the then State Bank of NSW (since absorbed into the Commonwealth Bank of Australia), AMP, Marsh & McLennan and Suncorp. He is currently Executive General Manager of Talent and Planning in Suncorp’s People Experience function.
While most of his career has been in Human Resources management, he has also worked in Corporate Strategy and was acting Managing Director for a Hong Kong based Financial Planning business acquired by AMP in 2001. In this role he had responsibility for funds management, regulator relations and all aspects of client relations. He has also been a member of the AAMI Staff Superannuation Fund Policy Committee.
Ed has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Melbourne University.
