To all Victorians impacted by the bushfires,
Management and staff of Suncorp Personal Insurance, incorporating AAMI, GIO, Apia, Shannons and Just Car Insurance, extend their sympathy to all those affected by the weekend’s devastating bushfires. We are all deeply saddened by the event, and will use all our resources and capabilities to assist our customers in getting back on their feet as quickly as possible.
We have established dedicated telephone contact teams, with our staff available around the clock to assist our affected customers. In addition, we have resources available in all the affected areas where our staff will be on hand to offer assistance and advice to people insured with AAMI, GIO, Apia, Shannons or Just Car Insurance.
As well as lodging claims for the repair and replacement of their homes and cars, many customers will be eligible for emergency relief in the form of accommodation and one-off cash payments. We urge customers to contact us as soon as possible so we can begin to provide assistance immediately.
The Suncorp Group has made a $500,000 contribution to the Premier’s 2009 Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund. In addition, management and staff are rallying together to establish a range of fundraising activities, with all proceeds to go to the fund.
