Suncorp's eOptions account has won the AFR Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Awards 2008 in the category of ‘Short term deposits (30-270 days)'.
At a gala awards ceremony held in Sydney last night, Suncorp Executive Manager, Transaction & Savings, Tony Meredith collected the award on behalf of his team.
"I was delighted to accept the award on behalf of my colleagues," Tony said. "eOptions has only been on the market for a short amount of time but has already had a strong take up by our customer base.
"To win an award for it provides us the opportunity to highlight to both existing and potential customers the real alternative our products and service provide within the market," he said.
The product was in a highly competitive category, with all competitors who offered similar products being considered.
The Smart Investor Awards is in its 8th year and the annual presentation dinner and awards is considered one of the most prestigious events on the finance professional calendar. The awards recognise the pinnacle of achievement in the Australian business community.
