Despite what a lot of people think, it's actually quite easy to switch your CTP insurer. It's worth taking the time to consider whether you and your family have the best cover available. You can switch at any time; however the change will only come into effect from the date of your next registration renewal.
You can nominate Suncorp as your CTP insurer at any time:
- Visit the Qld Transport website and nominate Suncorp as your CTP insurer.
- You can also switch by visiting a Suncorp branch or calling Qld Transport on 13
23 80.
So when you receive your next rego renewal notice, Suncorp will be your nominated
CTP Insurer. And you'll have the peace of mind that comes with having Queensland's
number 1 CTP Insurance.

are three easy ways to switch
- Switch insurers and pay online at the Queensland Government
website. Select the “Pay registration renewal with changes” from the Available
Services and follow the prompts to switch from your current insurer to Suncorp CTP.
- You can also nominate Suncorp in the space provided on the back of your renewal
notice, and send it to Qld Transport with your payment.
- Or call us on 13 11 60 to switch over the phone.
