ECO-FRIENDLY INSURANCE FEATURES

At Suncorp we're aiming to make things easier for you when rebuilding or replacing items covered by your Home and Contents Insurance. We've introduced eco-friendly features to help reduce the impact on the environment. These features are available for Classic, 55UP, Platinum and Investor Home and Contents Insurance, existing customers are automatically covered.

Rainwater storage solution or solar power facility

We will pay up to $2,500 of the net cost of installing a rainwater storage solution or solar powered heating facility when we rebuild or repair your home when at least 80% of your home is damaged by an insured event. If these were part of your home before your claim, they will be covered elsewhere in your policy.

3 star energy rating for white goods

New for old replacement now includes a minimum 3 star energy rating on white goods, even if your white good originally had a lower rating. This means when we replace fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and air conditioners, we replace them with a new item of equal specification and if you agree, with a minimum 3 star energy rating.
