At Suncorp, we value the communities in which we live and work. As well as providing Australians with a range of banking, insurance and investment services, we’re also focused on supporting some amazing programs and initiatives. From sponsoring events to providing much-needed assistance to charities and research organisations, we’re dedicated to getting out into the community and making a real difference to people’s lives.

Blackmores Sydney Running Festival

Since it was first run in 2000, the annual Blackmores Sydney Running Festival has grown to become one of the major community events on the Sydney calendar. Suncorp Bank is proud to be a major partner of the iconic event and encourages participants in their fundraising efforts for various charities across Australia. In 2011, the event achieved a record 35,022 participants and rose over $2.4 million dollars for charity.

 Our staff not only participate in the race, they are also part of the 1000-strong team of Suncorp Bank Volunteers. These volunteers work hard behind the scenes, manning our aid stations and help desks to make event day fun for everyone and without whom the event would not be possible.  On event day, our volunteers also encourage participants and spectators to stay sun safe by distributing thousands of hats and litres of sunscreen from our SunWise Shade Bar.
