Suncorp Queenslander of the Year Awards
Recognising Queensland heroes
Since 1981 the Queenslander of the Year Awards have celebrated the efforts of outstanding individuals. As Queensland’s highest citizenship honour, the annual awards recognise Queenslanders who’ve made a significant contribution to local communities and the state.
There are two categories within the awards – the Suncorp Queenslander of the Year and the Suncorp Young Queenslander of the Year. Nominations are open from February until March and winners are announced at an awards ceremony held during Queensland Week celebrations in June.
2010 marks the 21st year that Suncorp has been involved in the Queenslander of the Year Awards. We believe strongly in the importance of recognising those in our community who make a special contribution, and we are very proud of our own Queensland heritage.
Nominations for the 2010 Suncorp Queenslanders of the Year are now closed as of Friday 23rd April 5pm.
Thank you for your nominations.
The 2010 Suncorp Queenslander of the Year and Suncorp Young Queenslander of the Year will be announced on the 1st of June.
The Suncorp Queenslanders of the Year Awards are an initiative of the Queensland Government Queensland Week celebrations 29 May – 6 June.
