Changing children's lives

Brisbane-based Hear and Say Centre provides new hope for deaf and hearing impaired children and their families. Utilising unique Auditory-Verbal techniques and cochlear implant technology, this world-leading not-for-profit program has helped hundreds of children learn to listen and speak clearly and naturally. 

From humble beginnings in the early 1990s, Hear and Say has grown to now have six regional centres dotted around Queensland, and an outreach program for rural and remote children. Ultimately, the organisation aims to give children the speech and language skills necessary to achieve mainstream education, employment of choice and social integration with the hearing world.

Suncorp has enjoyed a close relationship with the Centre since 1994. Our staff regularly volunteer their time to provide assistance with a variety of tasks – from gardening and cleaning to painting and sanitising toys. Over the years we’ve helped raise more than $1 million via donations and through the annual Butterfly Appeal.
