At Suncorp, we value the communities in which we live and work. As well as providing Australians with a range of banking, insurance and investment services, we’re also focused on supporting some amazing programs and initiatives. From sponsoring events to providing much-needed assistance to charities and research organisations, we’re dedicated to getting out into the community and making a real difference to people’s lives.

Gold Coast Airport Marathon

Suncorp Bank is proud to be a major partner of the award-winning Gold Coast Airport Marathon.  The event was first staged in 1979 with just 691 runners and has grown to become one of the best marathons in the world.  In 2011 close to 25,000 people took part, raising over $309,000 for charities including the event’s ongoing official charity partner, Cancer Council Queensland.

 We support the 1000- strong team of Suncorp Bank Volunteers who make sure the race runs smoothly by manning the information booths and left luggage tents and looking after the water and aid stations on the course. We also make sure participants and spectators are staying SunWise on the day by offering complimentary sunscreen and hats at our Shade Bar.
