Daffodil Day
Providing new hope
The daffodil is the international symbol of hope for all those affected by cancer. Established as an Australia-wide event in 1992, Daffodil Day has become the largest fundraising event of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Each year the Cancer Council raises around $8 million on Daffodil Day, providing vital funds for research, education and support services.
Suncorp has been a major supporter of Daffodil Day in Queensland since it began here. We promote the appeal by collecting donations and selling merchandise and fresh daffodils in branches throughout Queensland. We’ve also extended our support of Daffodil Day by promoting it through Suncorp branches in Western Australia.
With so many people affected either directly or indirectly by cancer in their lifetime, we are honoured to play a part in the Cancer Council’s important work. Daffodil Day falls on Friday 27 August 2010, so please look out for daffodil merchandise in Suncorp Bank branches during August. Find out more at www.daffodilday.com.au
