Spreading the SunWise message

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the nation. One Australian is diagnosed every 90 seconds, and two out of every three Australians will be affected during their lifetime. Skin cancer is also the most expensive cancer to treat, with more than $300 million spent annually on treatments. However, with regular checkups and the adoption of sun safe practices, this disease is largely preventable.

At Suncorp we’ve developed the SunWise program to help educate the community about the dangers of sun exposure. Through prevention and education programs, partnerships and fundraising activities we’re aiming to change people’s behaviours – to make them more sun smart – and provide support for valuable life-saving research.
